| What are Books You Print (BooksUPrint.com)? |

| We send out books and also games in PDF files that anyone can print at any computer. This allows us to sell books for under $10 because we don't have to print books, send them to bookstores, have books returned, etc. We also sell bound books, Role-Play games in both PDF file format and in binders, and Boardgames. |

| Why did you set up BooksUPrint? |

| My name is David Felder and I'm a philosophy professor who was bothered by the price of the textbooks that I asked my students to buy. Teachers receive large expensive textbooks from publishers who expect us to order texts without even knowing that they cost $40, $50, $60 and more. They seem to think that we don't care how much our students will have to spend on books. I do care, and I did something about it. BookUPrint will keep all books under $10. I'm also an author who published How to Work for Peace with the University Press of Florida. After that book sold out, I bought the rights and now I want to have it so that my books and other people's books will be available at a reasonable price. |

| Are there advantages besides the low price? |

| There are many advantages of this format over pre-printed books. BooksUPrint can be in full color which would be too expensive with a bound book. Links and bookmarks can be imbeded within the text, and if used on a computer there can be links to web sites. Students can print out any part of the text they like, and instead of having to carry around a large text, they can carry the chapter being used that day. BooksUprint can be updated more often than bound texts, and can be read on the screen without printing to save paper and trees. More complete anthologies are possible with students printing just the selections being used. |

| How can teachers and authors publish with BooksUPrint? |

Just send us a manuscript as a PDF file or send us a file from any word processing program that we can turn into a PDF file. We can publish your work within a week. All authors receive 20% royalty payments on all texts that are sold.
Authors retain all the rights to their work including the copyright. Just type a copyright notice in your manuscript. You can list a publisher's names in the text, as long as the copyright holder gives us permission. We will keep track of sales for you and this could help you attract a publisher for a bound edition. All we want is the non-exclusive right to distribute a PDF version of your text. |

| How do you keep the whole thing honest? |

| Purchasers agree in making a purchase that they are purchasing the right to make one copy of the text for themselves. Purchasing is done on-line with credit cards and the credit card number appears in the copy. Copies can be printed but not changed. Anyone giving out copies to others will be giving away their credit card number. |
